Criterion D10: GHG Emissions and Climate Change Mitigation
The destination has targets to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and implements and reports on mitigation policies and actions. Enterprises are encouraged to measure, monitor, reduce or minimise, publicly report and mitigate greenhouse gas emissions from all aspects of their operation (including from suppliers and service providers). Offsetting of any remaining emissions is encouraged.
Example: Sentosa, Singapore

Sentosa aims for carbon neutrality by 2030 through the Sentosa Carbon Neutral Network, which unites 31 businesses in reducing greenhouse gas emissions via solar energy and green transportation. Solar panels across 46 locations reduce approximately 2,600 tonnes of CO2e annually, while innovative projects such as the solar-powered Fort Siloso Skywalk integrate solar panels into the walkway surface, allowing pedestrians to walk on them while simultaneously generating clean energy. Under Sentosa’s sustainability roadmap, the island aims to electrify 100% of intra-island public transportation by 2025.
