The destination has guidelines and regulations to minimize light and noise pollution. The destination encourages enterprises to follow these guidelines and regulations.

Australia has implemented its National Light Pollution Guidelines for Wildlife to reduce the harmful effects of artificial lighting on ecosystems. These guidelines encourage minimizing light intrusion, using shielded fixtures, and adjusting light color and intensity to protect nocturnal wildlife. They also emphasize limiting lighting duration, especially during sensitive periods,  such as breeding or migration.  Businesses are encouraged to adopt these practices to preserve natural darkness and minimize disruption to native species.
