Järvsö has rich cultural heritage, offering fabulous food, music, dance, art and crafts – all with an emphasis on localism. The town is surrounded by nature with forests, lakes, and a river flowing through the valley. This idyllic place, where tradition and modernity are intertwined, has long been a spot for recreation and hospitality. Järvsö is certified by EarthCheck, a Certification Body accredited by GSTC to certify destinations.

With a history dating back to the early 1900s, Järvsö has evolved into a dynamic destination offering year-round experiences with opportunities for skiing in winter and biking in summer, both downhill and cross-country. The river running through the valley provides fantastic whitewater rafting as well as fishing, paddling, and beautiful beaches.
